A man from Rock Falls, Illinois, has been sentenced to more than eight years in federal prison for distributing methamphetamine. Thomas Dugger, 55, pleaded guilty earlier this year to a charge of distributing five grams or more of methamphetamine. According to court documents, Dugger admitted in his plea agreement that he sold 55.7 grams of the drug in July 2021.

U.S. District Judge Iain D. Johnston sentenced Dugger to 100 months in prison during a hearing held Wednesday at the federal courthouse in Rockford.

The sentencing was announced by Andrew S. Boutros, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois, and Shane R. Catone, Special Agent-in-Charge of the Chicago Field Division of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration. Assistant U.S. Attorney Robert S. Ladd represented the government during the case.
