A former employee has taken legal action against two companies, alleging sexual harassment and wrongful termination. Tamia Goree filed a complaint in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois on February 26, 2026, accusing Reliable Staffing Services, Inc., doing business as Flexible Staffing, and Warehouse Specialists, LLC, doing business as WSI, of violating her civil rights.

The lawsuit centers around allegations that Goree was subjected to sexual harassment by a male co-worker named Bryan while employed by Reliable Staffing and assigned to work at WSI. According to the complaint, Bryan made unwelcome sexual comments towards Goree and followed her around the workplace. Despite reporting this behavior to her supervisors at both companies, no effective action was taken to address the harassment. Instead, Goree claims she was terminated from her position under the pretext of being a “liability” due to the company’s zero-tolerance policy on sexual harassment.

Goree’s complaint highlights several violations of federal law, including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Section 1981. She asserts that she faced discrimination based on her sex and retaliation for engaging in protected activities such as reporting harassment. The lawsuit contends that these actions created a hostile work environment and ultimately led to her unjust dismissal.

In seeking justice from the court, Goree is asking for back pay, compensatory and punitive damages, loss of benefits compensation, and coverage for attorney fees. She also requests any other relief deemed appropriate by the court. The plaintiff emphasizes that she met or exceeded performance expectations during her employment but was treated less favorably than similarly situated employees who did not report harassment.

Representing Tamia Goree are attorneys Yasmeen Elagha and Mohammed O. Badwan from Atlas Law Center Ltd., located in Lombard, Illinois. The case is being heard under Case ID: 1:26-cv-02196 in front of an unspecified judge at this time.
