Anthony Gomez has filed a lawsuit against his former employer, T & S Installations, Inc., alleging multiple violations of civil rights and labor laws. The complaint was filed on February 26, 2026, in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Gomez accuses T & S Installations of discrimination based on race, national origin, and sex, as well as retaliation for reporting these issues.

The case details paint a troubling picture of workplace harassment and discrimination. Anthony Gomez, who worked as an Assistant/Installer from October 2025 until his termination in November 2025, claims he was subjected to racial slurs and derogatory comments by Salvatore Ursino, the owner of T & S Installations. Gomez alleges that Ursino called him a “wetback” and “undocumented,” targeting his Hispanic race and Mexican origin. The harassment extended to sexual comments when Ursino allegedly asked Gomez why he didn’t “get on [his] knees and do what women do best.” This behavior culminated in a physical altercation where Ursino reportedly shoved Gomez twice during a work assignment.

Gomez’s complaint outlines violations under several laws including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Illinois Human Rights Act (IHRA), the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and the Illinois Minimum Wage Law (IMWL). He asserts that T & S Installations failed to pay him wages owed for over 40 hours of work at an hourly rate of $20.00. Despite performing his job duties satisfactorily, Gomez contends he was unlawfully terminated due to his race, national origin, sex, and for opposing discriminatory practices.

In seeking justice through this lawsuit, Anthony Gomez requests various forms of relief from the court. These include back pay with interest, front pay, compensatory damages for emotional distress and humiliation suffered due to the alleged discrimination and harassment. Additionally, he seeks punitive damages to penalize T & S Installations for their conduct along with reasonable attorney fees.

Representing Anthony Gomez are attorneys Chad W. Eisenback, Nathan C. Volheim, and Chasidy K. Clark from Sulaiman Law Group Ltd., located in Lombard, Illinois. The case is being heard under Case ID: 1:26-cv-02217 in front of judges yet to be named.
