A visually-impaired individual has taken legal action against a beauty company for failing to make its website accessible to blind users. Tazinique Echols filed the complaint in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois on November 6, 2025, targeting Clean Beauty for All, Inc. The lawsuit alleges that the company’s website, Saiehello.com, is not compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), thus denying visually-impaired individuals equal access to its products and services.

Echols, who requires screen-reading software to navigate online content, claims that Clean Beauty for All’s website presents significant barriers that prevent her and others like her from making purchases independently. According to the complaint, these barriers include inaccessible navigation menus, lack of alternative text for images, and interactive elements that are not compatible with keyboard-only navigation. “The lack of an accessible website means that blind people are excluded from experiencing transacting with Defendant’s website,” Echols stated in her filing. The plaintiff contends that these issues violate Title III of the ADA by denying full and equal enjoyment of goods and services offered by Saiehello.com.

The lawsuit further highlights how accessible technology is readily available yet ignored by Clean Beauty for All. It argues that many other companies have successfully implemented such technologies on their websites to accommodate visually-impaired users. Echols is seeking a permanent injunction requiring Clean Beauty for All to modify its website policies and practices to ensure accessibility compliance. Additionally, she seeks compensatory damages for what she describes as unlawful discrimination against herself and similarly affected individuals.

Echols is represented by Michael Ohrenberger of Equal Access Law Group, PLLC. The case is presided over by judges in the Northern District of Illinois under Case No.: 1:25-cv-13622.
