In a shocking legal development, a Delaware-based company has accused several individuals and businesses of orchestrating an elaborate scheme to defraud investors out of millions of dollars through deceptive oil well investments. The complaint was filed by Alecko O+G LLC in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois on October 17, 2025, targeting Clayton Wilson, Peter Wilson, Christopher Leiker, Michael Hopson, Satchell Creek Petroleum LLC (SCP), Havana Room Cigars LLC, and HR Liquors LLC.

According to the lawsuit, Alecko O+G LLC alleges that the defendants engaged in a fraudulent scheme involving Kansas-based oil wells. The complaint details how the defendants purportedly misled investors into believing they were investing in lucrative oil wells when they were actually dry or grossly underperforming. The plaintiff claims that SCP and its related entities falsified drill testing results and manipulated data to create the illusion of profitable oil production. In one instance, it is alleged that SCP staged a fake display of oil production during an investor visit to Kansas by pumping water mixed with previously collected oil into a well to deceive investors.

The lawsuit accuses the defendants of violating federal laws, including the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO), by engaging in wire fraud and other fraudulent activities. Alecko asserts that SCP structured its operations so that its principals would profit regardless of whether the wells produced oil. This included charging fees for services such as water hauling and leasing on non-viable wells. Additionally, it is claimed that SCP commingled funds from different investment phases and failed to transfer promised lease rights to investors.

Alecko seeks to recover its investment losses along with other damages resulting from what it describes as “an egregious scheme” perpetrated by the defendants. The plaintiff is requesting relief under RICO statutes as well as compensation for common law fraud. The case is being handled by attorneys representing Alecko O+G LLC against multiple defendants involved in this alleged conspiracy.

The case has been assigned Case No. 1:25-cv-12734 in front of Judge [Name], with representation from [Law Firm Names] handling legal proceedings for both parties involved.
